The Spirit Animals Game Has Shut Down :(

Hey all,

Long time no post! I recently found out that there's no longer any access to the Spirit Animals Game online (spiritanimals.scholastic.com/play) nor the Spirit Animals Message Board (SAMB) aka Forums (spiritanimals.scholastic.com/forums/). I've told Lyrus (my good friend AquaGriffin62) about it, and she's saddened by the news. :(

The game may be gone, but not this blog! We will continue to maintain it and (very) occasionally check on it to see how our fellow Greencloaks are doing. We've made many friends over the years in SA, and it'd be a shame to not speak to y'all again. So, we'd love to keep in touch with everyone! If you need someone (particularly from SA) to chat with, you have us ladies here (Card & Lyrus). We wouldn't mind exchanging Telegram usernames! 😎

If anyone has any information about the game's shut down, leave a comment. Or just share with us your fondest memories of the game/forums!

BEATING MULTIPLAYER (Attempt #1) FAILURE

Hello, Greencloaks! Card here. Two days ago, me and my good friends Lyrus (Aquagriffin62) and Topaz (Dolphintopaz69) attempted to reach the highest wave in Multiplayer. This is what happened.

Tigersoul120 was keen to join the fray. However, he disconnected at Wave 5.

We managed to invite Dawnwolf1483 in. "We can win!" ~Lyrus

Taking down the evil Conqueror boss at Wave 8.

Delivering the final blow to the Bear King boss at Wave 9. Lyrus shows off her epic spirit animal skills.

Oops! My first death.

The game became very glitchy at Wave 12. I was lagging very badly and died. I was stuck at this screen. (Everyone else was stuck too) There was nothing we could do, so we all left the game. :(

I had many loading issues outside of Multiplayer. The game froze my internet and I had to restart my computer twice. Therefore, our valiant attempt to beat Multiplayer ends here.

How to defeat DRINA (Part II)

**WARNING: Contains game spoilers! It is recommended that you do not read on if your hero is under Level 40.
Read PART 1 first if you haven't already.

As we follow our hero in the battle against Drina...

Drina continued to shoot you with poisoned arrows. You try to fight the spider, but it inflicted a lot of damage on you instead, slowing you down with a single hit. You feel hopeless. How are you going to escape from the trap?

TURF TIP: Although I mentioned here that it is a trap, you have no choice but to go in, before you can lure Drina out in the courtyard again. Trapped between Iskos and Drina, try not to panic. The big red circles flashing on the ground tells you the location of Iskos' next impending attack. Avoid them. 

If you stood on the red circles for too long, Iskos will send a continuous stream of purple energy towards you, significantly lowering your HP, while ensnaring you in place with a spiderweb. Shoot arrows at Iskos. Iskos' HP is connected to that of Drina's, so Drina suffers damage as well. 

After a while, Iskos will "die" for a while and vanish. Use this chance to rush to Drina, crouched on the ground, and attack her with your melee weapon. She will stay there for a while before she disappears.

Drina is left inattentive. She was kneeling on the ground, her hands over her head. Grabbing the opportunity, you rushed forward and assaulted her. "I've put too much into that," she said. In a purple flash, she vanishes. "This battle is far from over," her voice sneered. "Better watch your step." You stood up, confused. What does she mean?

Big red spots appear all over the floor around you. You look for any signs of Drina or Iskos, but they are nowhere to be found. You feel apprehension. You ran for your life, but the red spots are never far behind. At a moment, the red spots engulfed you, blinding you for a moment. Drina and Iskos reappeared out of thin air, a evil smile playing on her lips. 

You are ensnared in a hollow sphere of purple spider silk. You cannot run, you cannot move, you cannot even speak. Drina laughs again. "No one escapes me." Iskos strikes you continuously with purple energy. You feel yourself getting weaker and weaker, your life draining out of you. With every blast, you shuddered with unspoken pain and agony. Just as you feel that you are going to break, Iskos is gone.

TURF TIP: There is no way to escape this trap. The best method is to run around nonstop once you see the big red spots flashing on the ground, however there is no guarantee that Drina and Iskos will not capture you. Just make sure you have enough HP to withstand this blow.

You collapsed on the ground, struggling to stand up. Drina is still there. You clench your fists. You continue to shoot arrows at her, while avoiding hers. Whenever you got close, Drina jumped away easily. Drina turned translucent, her skin becoming a shimmering pink colour. You tried to shoot her, but to no avail. The arrow just passed right through her. She jeered at you.

TURF TIP: This is one of Drina's other tricks. The transparency only lasts for a while, before you can attack her again.

You lured Drina into a dead end. You sprang forward to attack her. However, Drina is no easy enemy. She hit you hard in the stomach, creating an opening for herself. She dashed away in record time. 

You followed her into the courtyard unthinkingly. Suddenly, you found yourself in yet another trap again! There are two circular walls of spider web surrounding the center of the courtyard, and you are enclosed within them! You stamped your foot in frustration. Drina is standing in the center of the webs, shooting you with poisoned arrows. Iskos is somewhere outside the webs, red spots appearing over the ground as you run in circles around the courtyard. Not again! How do I escape now?

TURF TIP: Not all of you will experience this trap, but the solution is the same as the first trap that Drina used. Find the spider, avoid the red spots, and shoot it until it "dies". (It never really dies.) Then you attack Drina again. This cycle of traps will be repeated until Drina's HP hits zero. 

Drina's Defeat

You delivered the final blow. The rain stopped abruptly. A ray of sunlight broke through the dark clouds. Drina is finally defeated.

Drina flees for her life, coming to another dead end. Having no where to escape, she threatens you that this is not the end, and the Conquerors are gaining power everyday.

"Nowhere is safe. Not even Greenhaven." Her sentence make you stunned, freezing you in your tracks. How can it be...? Greenhaven is the safest place in the world of Erdas! 

To your surprise, she jumped over the junk blocking the corridor and run away. It is the end. The battle is over.

Olvan and Lenori arrived at the greenhaven courtyard. You recounted everything that has happened. They are surprised at Drina's bravery in fighting a duel with you right in greenhaven. Lenori told you about a similar dream that she had, naming you as the Keeper. Olvan believes that you, together with Abeke, Meilin, Connor and Rollan, will be able to defeat the Conquerors. You obtain the Brown Eagle of Halawir, dropped by Drina.

Congratulations! You have defeated Drina and saved the day! 

You are named Ninani's Champion.
